Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

Dr. Daniyele L. Feaster is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in post acute care, long term care, wound management, palliative care, clinical education, quality improvement, and healthcare leadership. Her career has focused on improving outcomes for medically complex adult and geriatric patients while strengthening clinical systems, staff education, and interdisciplinary collaboration across skilled nursing, assisted living, rehabilitation, hospice, and home-based care settings.
Dr. Feaster currently provides primary care for residents in post acute care facilities, including assisted living, short-term rehabilitation, and long term care. Her work includes managing acute and chronic conditions, supporting admissions and discharges, educating patients and families, collaborating with nursing teams and other healthcare professionals, and assisting with the implementation of clinical protocols and treatment plans. She also participates in facility and organizational QAPI initiatives designed to improve quality, safety, and resident outcomes.
A significant portion of Dr. Feaster‘s advanced practice career has centered on complex wound care. She has provided wound care rounds and consultations across long term care, hospice, home health, and primary care settings while developing treatment protocols, formularies, and education programs for clinical teams. Her expertise includes wound assessment and management, pressure injury prevention, staff education, policy development, and implementation of evidence-based wound care practices.
In addition to direct patient care, Dr. Feaster has held extensive nursing leadership and consulting roles focused on survey readiness, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, risk management, and clinical operations. She has developed and implemented programs addressing falls prevention, weight management, bowel and bladder care, pressure injury prevention, and wound management while training Directors of Nursing, clinical leaders, and frontline staff. She has also served as an interim Director of Nursing and regional and corporate wound care consultant.
Dr. Feaster is the founder and CEO of Above and Beyond Health Academy, PLLC, where she develops and delivers wound care certification programs, continuing education courses, CPR training, clinical workshops, and independent wound care consultations. She also mentors healthcare professionals, precepts nursing students, trains new Nurse Practitioners, and provides speaking and educational programs for clinical audiences.
She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership from Abilene Christian University and completed her Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner education at South University. She also holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Gardner-Webb University and completed advanced wound, ostomy, and continence education through Emory University. Her combination of advanced clinical expertise, education, leadership, and quality improvement experience allows her to support both individual patient care and broader facility-wide clinical excellence.
Through her work with Post Acute Clinical Services, Dr. Feaster is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care that promotes clinical stability, strengthens continuity of care, and improves quality of life for residents.
