Dene Lawson is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong clinical foundation in critical care, correctional health, and primary care. She is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care with a focus on underserved and vulnerable populations.

As an FNP, Dene provides comprehensive palliative assessments and individualized care plans for patients with advanced chronic and terminal illnesses. She manages complex pain and symptom regimens, facilitates goals-of-care discussions, and collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic, patient-centered treatment.

She also delivers primary care services within correctional settings, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, respiratory illnesses, infections, dermatologic concerns, and mental health disorders. Her experience includes comprehensive assessments, diagnostic interpretation, medication management, preventive care, and care coordination in structured environments.

Prior to becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, Dene built extensive experience as a Registered Nurse in progressive care, intermediate care, cardiovascular, and telemetry units. She has managed complex cardiac IV infusions, titrated respiratory support including CPAP/BiPAP and high-flow oxygen, and cared for patients recovering from advanced cardiac and thoracic procedures. Her background also includes leadership roles in correctional health administration and nurse management.

Dene earned her Master of Science in Nursing and completed her Family Nurse Practitioner certification in December 2024. She maintains active ACLS and BLS certifications.

Her diverse clinical background, leadership experience, and commitment to quality care make her a valuable asset in post-acute, correctional, and medically complex care environments.
